Having grown up 3 miles south of the Muskegon Piers on beautiful Lake Michigan, fishing has always run through my veins. I have fished West Michigan’s lakes and rivers since I was a little boy of 5. Whether chasing our migratory Salmon, Steelhead and trout on the Great Lakes and rivers, to Tarpon, Permit and Pelagic species in the oceans and flats around the world, fishing is my passion.
My greatest joy is fishing with families and inexperienced anglers, helping our younger generation experience the phenomenal fisheries that we have to offer right in our backyard. The most rewarding aspect of being a US Coast Guard Captain is giving you the opportunity to catch the fish of your lifetime.

Captain Rylee GonzalezI have always had a deep passion for fishing ever since I was very young. Growing up on the lakeshore in Holland Michigan has given me so many opportunities in the fishing community. Fishing has, and will always be, a large part of my life. My absolute favorite thing about working in charter fishing is the excitement and endless smiles it brings to everyone. I never get tired of watching a guest feel the thrill of the catch. I have several years experience on the Great Lakes including kicking back and relaxing on a pleasure cruise up and down the shoreline or hooking into big kings 10+ miles out on Lake Michigan. I recently obtained my U.S Coast Guard Captain’s license and want to continue pursuing my dreams on the big lake and beyond. I strive to one day have my own charter business and continue to spread the love and knowledge of fishing on the Great Lakes.

I am a United States Coast Guard Licensed captain. I began salmon fishing with my father when I was 6 years old. The day I hooked my first salmon was the day my obsession with Great Lakes salmon fishing began. There is absolutely NO PLACE ON EARTH I would rather be than fishing for trout and salmon on Lake Michigan. It is a true passion for me in all aspects.
I have been blessed to have fished from Michigan City Indiana, all the way north to Frankfort, Michigan, and pretty much every port in between. At 32 years old, I am one of the younger captain’s in the area, but with 25 years of experience on the Great Lakes, and over 20 years of charter fishing experience prior to starting my own business, my number one goal is to make your Lake Michigan fishing charter the best I can possibly make it.
