Holland Charter Boat fishing has been ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE. Numbers of fish are just off the charts during our morning trips. We’re catching between 10 and 20 fish during the first two hours of the fishing charters! Some salmon are around and we’ve been taking anywhere between 5 and 10 salmon bites during our morning charters. The rest of the catch has been made of lake trout…. Very large lake trout, with several being in the 15lb range! Our morning charters this week have been some of the best fishing i have experienced all year!
Our evening fishing has been much tougher. We’re still catching fishing, but most trips have been 10 or less fish per trip. We are assuming this will continue to improve as we no longer have a full moon. We are still taking both salmon and lake trout in the evenings.
The lake trout continue to bite our Yakima bait spin n glo’s like they’re candy.
Our salmon are biting jay style j plugs in Blue Splatter, Wonderbread, All Glow, and Lucky Charm on the coppers. The divers continue to be incredibly good for salmon with Big Weenie No Fish Nick meat rig, Kevin’s girlfriend Combo, Blue Balls combo, and Spotted Dick combo.
We’ve been fishing anywhere between 80 and 100 feet of water on a daily basis. 100-300ft of Morgan’s Copper have been our go to for salmon
The season is beginning to dwindle down, but we’re experience some AMAZING fishing. If you haven’t booked your charter yet, you may miss out!!!
