Charter fishing in Lake Michigan this week has been AWESOME!!! We’ve taken limits of fish in the last 5 trips. We’re currently fishing 80-100 feet of water south of Holland.
Lake trout are coming on our brand new Big Weenie Laker Lander rigs! We’re also pairing several Yakima Spin n Glo’s with other Big Weenie flies and getting incredibly good results for lake trout!
We’ve also been taking anywhere between 2 and 8 salmon and steelhead bites per day during the days we have limited out on lake trout! Big weenie Honey Phil Phil is the go to fly behind an 8in white slick spin doctor on a Morgan’s 225 copper.
Moonshine magnum spoons early in the morning are also taking several fish on Morgan’s 75, 100, 125 and 150 coppers. Don’t forget to try a jplug on a 2 or 3 color as well.
